The United States Democrats Have Extremely Poor Leadership

Like many of my fellow Americans, I watched the president’s address to the joint session of United States Congress on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Unlike many of my fellow Americans, I had to watch it a day later, since I don’t subscribe to any of the services that would broadcast it. I watched the entire thing on YouTube.

In summary, I’m ashamed of the behavior of the Democrats in Congress. I’m sure there are some people in the Democratic Party that feel the same way I do. Not the leadership, of course. Their leaders are lacking in a thing we call “common sense”.

The Republican Ideology

Just like the Democrats, the Republican Party has altered its ideology over the years. What the Republicans now stand for is what the Democrats used to stand for. The Democratic Party has gone off the rails, and I don’t think there’s any way for them to get back on track.

The Republicans seem to be following President Trump’s leadership. Among many things, he believes in only two genders, and he doesn’t believe transgender females should play in women’s sports.

The Democrat Ideology

What do the Democrats of today believe in? I don’t follow politics enough to know everything, but I’ve seen them supporting abortions, gender identity, and transgender rights. They support transgender drugs and surgery for minor children. And as I’ve written before, unless they’ve been indoctrinated or groomed by others, children have no capacity to be homosexual or transgender.

Democrats seem to be for women’s rights, and yet they voted against a bill that would protect women in sports. Are they intentional hypocrites?

Ukraine Involvement

After Russia annexed Crimea in Ukraine in 2014, the United States started providing military aid to Ukraine. Donald Trump started his first term as president in 2017. He was surrounded by people he didn’t know, and he didn’t know who to trust. Joe Biden, a Democrat, became president in 2021. After Russia invaded Ukraine, he went all in for aid to Ukraine to the tune of billions of dollars.

Donald Trump, now in his second term, is trying to promote peace and end the Russia-Ukraine war. The Democrats seem to want a forever war so they can profit from it. There’s a lot of graft involved with sending money to Ukraine.

The Southern Border of the United States

The policies of the Biden administration caused the influx of millions of illegal aliens from countries all over the world, not just South America. It was an obvious plan by the Democrats to inflate the census in areas dominated by Democrats. That would allow them to gain more representatives in Congress. Because most of the illegal aliens were not vetted, however, a lot of bad people poured over the border.

The Democrats, and their media pundits, kept calling them “undocumented migrants”. In their minds, the illegal aliens weren’t criminals until they committed a crime in the United States. What they refused to recognize is that entering the United States without authorization is a criminal act in itself.

After Donald Trump took office, he declared an emergency at the southern border. In less than two months, the Trump administration has stopped more than 90 percent of the traffic across the border, as well as deporting thousands of illegal aliens.

Inflation

The Biden administration did everything they could to kill the use of fossil fuels in the United States. Clean, renewable energy is a good idea, but you can’t transition away from fossil fuels until the renewable energy infrastructure is in place. As a result of his policies, inflation skyrocketed out of control.

After Donald Trump took office, he declared an energy emergency. He caused pipeline construction to continue and drilling for oil to begin anew. I have no doubt his policies will drive inflation down.

The National Debt

I have to admit, I don’t understand the inner workings of federal government finances. When they say the government is spending more on interest than on defense, there’s a problem. From what I understand, the yearly budget is two trillion more dollars than what the government collects. No matter what you think, it’s unsustainable.

Donald Trump created the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), spearheaded by Elon Musk. Like Donald Trump, Elon Musk is working without an income from the government. They’re both billionaires and they love the country. They don’t want it to go bankrupt. Along with every other good idea, the Democrats have been fighting them every step of the way.

There are a lot of “fake” Christians in the federal government. How can any “real” Christian condone what’s happening in the Democratic Party. As a Christian myself, I find the ideology of the Democrats offensive.
